One day in February, I picked my 8-year-old daughter and her friend from school so they could get prepared for a father-daughter Valentine’s dance later that evening.
Marley said she was nervous in the car after school. Her friend said she was too.
I said, “Okay, tell me about that. What is making you nervous?”
Marley told me her concerns and her friend said, “Gosh, you talk about your fears?”
“Absolutely,” said Marley. “Then they get smaller.”
